About Lake Holiday

Lake Holiday is located just outside of Winchester VA in the Shenandoah mountains. Lake Holiday was incorporated in August 1970. Man made from the riverbed of Isaac Creek, the lake is over 240 acres, situated in a dense forest that provides privacy for residents. The lake was filled by Hurricane Agnes in just a few short days, and has remained filled through our natural weather patterns.

Lake Holiday is home to many wildlife creatures including eagles, great blue herons, wild turkeys, beavers, white-tailed deer and some of the best bass fishing in the state. Swans stop to rest for a week each year and ducks and geese are year-round residents.

Lake Holiday is governed by an HOA directed by an 11 member Board of Directors that are elected by residents. The Board oversees the professional management staff that facilitates the day-to-day operations.

Residents can volunteer on numerous committees that help improve the community as well as provide activities for members. Memorial Day celebrations and Fourth of July boat parade draw many members, and monthly get togethers include women and mens coffee, potluck dinners, book clubs and more.
